Calm colours are here to stay, and especially natural tones such as brown, sand and green are very popular in soft and muted versions. We have also noticed this at aida, since we launched a new glaze in August 2024: Sandy Beige.
Sandy Beige, which evokes the wild Nordic beaches with sandy dunes and a roaring sea, has received a remarkably warm welcome on the market. The great interest in – and the positive reception of – this light and warm colour has meant that the series has expanded from seven pieces to 20 pieces in a very short time. Today, you can find all the essential pieces as well as a wide range of additional items glazed in Sandy Beige.
A natural fit for today and the RAW universe
With its warm and calm tone, Sandy Beige complements other RAW glazes such as Metallic Brown, Northern Green and Titanium Black in a stylish way. In addition, Sandy Beige pairs beautifully with both teak products, linen textiles and cutlery in different colours. This makes Sandy Beige an obvious choice for a complete table setting – and with a colour that brings to mind the beach, it is a natural fit for the summer table.

The simple table
Here, is Sandy Beige the foundation and focal point, which is why we have chosen our RAW cutlery in matte steel. To maintain the simple and calm expression, we have added Unique glasses in Light Blue and simple linen napkins, which are also part of RAW. Finally, we have included a few Teak products to bring extra warmth to the table setting.
The brown table
The brown table reflects today’s trends and tendencies. With a tone-on-tone approach, we have matched Sandy Beige with Metallic Brown and natural-coloured placemats. We have made the table setting a little more elaborate with Unique wine and champagne glasses, and once again we have chosen the cutlery in matte steel.
A play of contrasts
As the name suggests, the contrasting table is a mix of the light Sandy Beige and the dark Titanium Black. On its own, Titanium Black can appear a bit harsh, but with a linen tablecloth and cutlery in Champagne Gold the look is softened. To bring in a warmer expression, we have added Teak products.
Beige in the perfect balance
Sandy Beige can be mixed with many other colours, and that is the glaze’s very special quality. Beige brings balance and calmness to the table setting and can be used in countless combinations. At aida, we also believe this is the reason why Sandy Beige has received such a warm welcome. The colour is warm, while the stoneware gives you the Nordic simplicity – a combination that fits perfectly with the interior trends we see in the Nordics right now. This applies to the walls, the table and the kitchen alike.
But for us at aida, Sandy Beige is also something special because it represents a step in the right direction towards more responsible production. All Sandy Beige products are made with a minimum of 50 percent recycled clay, offering consumers the possibility to choose with greater consideration and respect for materials.
